Aluminium is naturally a very lightweight, and durable material providing exceptional longevity and can be supplied in a range of finishes from stucco embossed, ARS, and PVdF paint finishes along with specialist finishes such as AluMatt and AluMatt Zinc. This material can be used in almost any environment and provides the opportunity to recycle this material after the operational life of the building.

Aluminium without a paint finish or specialist finish, if used for metal roofing & cladding systems, is supplied with a stucco embossing, a pattern that provides additional strength, and protects the material during the installation process.

The stucco embossed aluminium is a light grey colour when manufactured and dulls as it develops its patina over the first few months. The patina oxidised layer provides protection to the aluminium promoting a long life. If the aluminium oxidised layer is scratched or removed then the material self-heals providing a new layer of patina. The oxidisation is a natural process, and the consistency of this patina process cannot be guaranteed. |

The ARS paint coating on aluminium material provides the ability to have an extensive range of colours to suit the various aesthetic requirements of projects. ARS paint finish is an extremely hard coating that minimises installation scratches without the need for an additional protective film. The PVdF paint coating on aluminium material provides an extremely durable finish with first class resistance to fading and chalking. This material should always be supplied to site with a protective film, as it requires careful handling on-site to minimise installation scratches which is more easily done compared with the ARS paint finish.
Weathered Zinc & Copper paint finishes available in this paint finish range offering the aesthetic of such materials, without the cost. Please note that there is a minimum order quantity on certain RAL & BS numbers, please contact our Sales Office for assistance.

The AluMatt finish from SpeedDeck provides the specifier with the option of having a ‘pre-dulled’ or weathered finish to the stucco embossed aluminium. Even though the patina oxidisation process takes only a few months, sometimes planning constraints require a "dull" or weathered finish to the stucco embossed mill finish aluminium to be supplied. The AluMatt reduces the glare of the stucco embossed aluminium, but does not match a RAL or BS colour number. This finish can also be offered to replicate the finish of a weathered traditional zinc roof, whilst offered cost benefits.
Please note that matching perimeter flashings can be difficult as the patina or weathered finish, will continue to oxidise and the consistency may change. Thicker gauge flashings are not available in this finish.

The AluMatt Zinc finish from SpeedDeck provides the specifier with the all the aesthetic of a traditional zinc roof system, with the performance benefits of aluminium offering an outstanding alternative to Zinc material.
AluMatt Zinc finish provides a versatile material that can be profiled, tapered and curved to suit individual project specifics, whilst being 2.5 times lighter than traditional Zinc, with dramatic costs savings along with exception resistance when exposed to moisture for a long period of time.
Due to the zinc particles in the top coat of the specialist finish, AluMatt Zinc will change over time from its original finish to a weathered finish, just like natural zinc.
